Going to Barcelona

February 28, 2010

Traveling is a very natural thing for many students after they graduate from college. One of the first decisions they have to make is where they want to go. They have many opportunities as this world is fill of beautiful places.

It seems as though you always have the groups that choose any of the tropical beach destinations. Mexico and Cancun in particular being hot spot locations for college graduates. You have the group that chooses to donate and volunteer their time in areas such as Africa or South America. And, then you have the group that jets off to backpack through Europe.

If volunteering is the way you or someone you know are leaning toward, I would highly recommend checking out local grassroots organizations that are possibly connected somehow to your own communities. If you don’t have any in your area, check out the location where you will be traveling to, and I am sure there will be volunteer opportunities with local missions, churches, and or expats that are already there. South America is a beautiful place to go, and it very cheap to travel within this area.

If you are going to backpack through Europe you are bound to stop at some of the most popular countries to include Italy, Germany, Paris, France, and Spain. When in Spain you definitely want to make plans to see a city on the coast such as Barcelona. in Barcelona, you will also become very educated about Gaudi’s Barcelona and why this artist and architect is one of the most famous if not the most famous out of this region. You will also want to make it a point to visit Madrid as it is one of the liveliest cities in the country.

Everyone’s trip after college is different and should be planned according to your interest to have the most enjoyable experience.
